What Is Club Volleyball?

What Exactly Is Club Volleyball?

Club volleyball is a highly organized, nationwide, competitive volleyball network designed for athletes to refine their volleyball skills, compete at the local, regional and national level. USA Volleyball (USAV) is the national governing body and is responsible for rules and competition.  USAV is divided into 40 regions.  Allons’ Volleyball Club is part of the Bayou Region Volleyball Association.  Each year, players and teams must become members of the USAV in order to participate in practice and tournament play.  Allons’ offers girls 8 to 18 the opportunity to play in competitive tournaments and get advanced training.

The volleyball community is a place where everyone is welcome and you can find a lifetime of play and competition. Volleyball brings families together to play and learn and offers the opportunity to create lifelong friendships and bonds. Character-building skills such as leadership, teamwork, respect and communication plus the physical benefits of staying healthy and active are some of the many things that make Volleyball GREAT!

Club season begins with team tryouts in October for 14 &Under players and Mid-November for 15 &Over players. Team practice picks up after tryouts with tournament play starting in early January. Depending on each team’s game schedule, club season wraps during the month or April but some club teams may continue training until the National Championship, held in June.
